Meaning /Usage

verb + なさい。
Used when you order someone to do something.
Similar as ろ(ruder) or なよ(less rude).

ごめんなさい(“I’m sorry”) is an exception and it’s not rude of course. It literally means “forgive me”.

へんなうたをうたうのやめなさい
Stop singing the weird song.

今すぐ宿題やりなさい
いますぐしゅくだいやりなさい
