Meaning / Usage

Usage 1:
Literally means “, but…” it’s common to use this at the end of a sentence in conversational Japanese.
You are not 100% agree. It could mean “I know what you are saying, but…”

Usage 2:
In young generation, it’s often used in positive sentences implying a little bit of surprise.

Informal version of ですけど.

Usage 1:
“あの子がお前に興味ないことわかってんでしょ?” ”まあ、そうだけど。。。”
“あのこがおまえにきょうみないことわかってんでしょ?” ”まあ、そうだけど。。。”
“You know she is not interested in you, right?” “Yeah, I know, but…”

Usage 2:
うわー、すげー雪降ってるんだけど。
うわー、すげーゆきふってるんだけど。
Wow, it’s snowing really hard.
